When I got my latest round of new ink I said I was going to do things differently. Me and Tina have both been trying to go for a more natural lifestyle. I started with our eating but soon made its way into all parts o our lives including body care products. We switched to natural soap from a local soap maker and in the process learned about all the gross things in most things we buy. So, this time around I was going to give my tattoo the all natural treatment. In the past I've used petroleum based stuff as well as lotion from Wal-Mart and while they seemed to help a little, it was so marginal that I doubted it was worth the effort at all. And so the search for an all natural tattoo healing balm began.
I asked around locally but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for so the search went online. There were a bunch of companies that came up in the searches but I liked the look of this one by a company called Primitive Outpost. They focus on natural ingredients for all of their products and they had quite a few so that ultimately won me over. The balm itself is a yellowish semi firm consistency that melts once it comes in contact with your skin. It left a noticeable film over my tattoo but wasn't messy in any way. It definitely helped keep it moisturized and minimized the typical itching. The best part was it actually helped with the pain and swelling as well. Very impressed considering its natural stuff.

*This post is from my girlfriend Tina. She feels pretty strongly about it so I said she should post it on here.
It’s all about a soft beard! My man grows the wildest beard. It’s all over the place and so very prickly, no one wants to kiss that! How many women out there suffer in silence as their men gloriously abandon their razors while on vacation or during the holidays or simply rock a beard year round? I love a big beautiful beard, it has a sophistication about it that makes me feel warm and comforted. I don’t however, like when I reach in for a hug and get untamed angry whiskers jabbed into my neck and ground into the soft flesh. So if that is the dilemma what is the solution? Beard balm is my new best friend, At Christmas time he gets Bard Balm period. I’m not sure whose stocking to put it in, mine or his because it’s such a relief to have those whiskers softened with the natural oils and butters. Each oil selected for its conditioning properties and skin soothing benefits. It cures the new beard itch and softens as it grows. Available in so many scents, from the unscented to the glorious essential oils that provide their own boost of energy or skin nurturing properties. It doesn’t have to hurt anymore, soften up that beard. Now what about the unruly wild whiskers? You can get those under control too. Try some Extra Hold Beard Balm sometimes called beard wax. This careful combination is what you need to sculpt and mold your beard the way you want it. Want handle bars on that stache? What about a sleek fly away free beard that looks perfectly put together? Use them together or separately to achieve whatever look you want. You don’t have to go for the caveman look, even if you want to get in touch with your wild side! Trust me, this balm is where it's at. |
